My Orange #CraftBot 3D Printer from #CraftUnique (Hungary) Has Arrived

I am very happy to receive my My Orange CraftBot (CB) 3D Printer from CraftUnique (Hungary). Sometime in early August 2014, when I wanted to purchase a 3D printer, I discovered CraftUnique’s campaign in Indiegogo (IGG). It did not take me too long to settle upon CraftUnique’s (CU) CraftBot 3D printer. First, CU offered an attractive price point vs technical features. The marketing video in the IGG campaign was very professionally done and attracted me.

Nathaniel, the guy from CU appearing in the video did a great job of introducing what CU has to offer to the people looking for 3D printers. Though there were hiccups in the campaign relating to delivery schedule, but, I am sure almost all of my fellow CraftBoters and me agreed that it was surely worth waiting to receive a good and better (some components like the “energy chain” was upgraded to accommodate dual extruder in future <= current version of CB is single extruder) machine, in this case, our own CraftBot 3D printer. 4 months is worth the wait.

All of us appreciate the CU team (Attila, Janos, Nathaniel and the rest) and the timely updates and comments that they offered. In fact, if you were to compare the ratio of the comments from my fellow CraftBoters and the comments & updates from the CU team, you would discover that this ratio ranks among the highest (if not, then the highest) among the crowd sourcing campaigns in IGG and also Kickstarter. In this journey, there were lots of fun and helpful people among the CraftBoters. There are really too many names to mention. I feel that we are the “Band of Brothers”. All these will be and remain very happy memories for me.
